What is Blepharoplasty?
Blepharoplasty is an aesthetic surgical procedure that aims to correct excess skin, fat pockets and muscle laxity in the upper or lower eyelids. By easing the tired expression, it helps the gaze appear more rested and youthful.

Aftercare
Recovery Process

First 24 Hours
Cold Compresses and Observation
Cold compresses are applied to help reduce swelling and bruising. Mild swelling and tightness are expected findings.
1st Week
Removal of Sutures
Sutures are typically removed around the 5th–7th day. Bruising begins to fade and glasses can be worn.
Weeks 2 – 3
Return to Social Life
Visible swelling decreases significantly and light sensitivity subsides. Minor colour differences can be concealed with make-up if necessary.
Months 1 – 3
Refinement of the Contours
As tissue swelling continues to subside, the eyelid contours become softly and naturally defined.
Month 6
Final Result Becomes Apparent
The scar line fades and the result stabilises. Regular use of sun protection is recommended.

His medical journey began in 2008 with English-medium medical education at Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine and was shaped by plastic surgery. He completed his specialist training at Haydarpaşa Numune Training and Research Hospital, one of Turkey's long-established plastic surgery clinics, and subsequently served for two years as a plastic surgery specialist at Erzurum City Hospital.
Since 2023 he has been practising at Yılmazer Clinic in Istanbul, guided by innovative technologies and a scientific approach. In blepharoplasty, the priority is a natural appearance, respect for proportions and functional continuity; a detailed analysis is carried out for each patient and technical choices are planned individually.
