What is Rhinoplasty?
Rhinoplasty is a surgical procedure that aims to reshape the structural and aesthetic features of the nose. It is a multidimensional treatment in which not only the external appearance, but also—where necessary—the airway and nasal function are evaluated, while the proportions unique to your face are preserved.

Who is it Suitable For?
Rhinoplasty is a personalised procedure that can address aesthetic and functional concerns together. A consultation may be planned in the following situations.

How is it Performed?
Rhinoplasty planning begins by evaluating facial analysis, nasal anatomy and patient expectations together. The information below reflects the general framework; the final plan is determined individually.
Anaesthesia
General Anaesthesia
Performed in an accredited hospital setting, accompanied by an experienced anaesthetist.

The planned scope, structural intervention and chosen technique influence the duration.

An overnight stay is recommended for postoperative observation and comfort.

Recovery Process
The timeline below is a general guide. Recovery time may vary depending on the individual, skin structure and the technique applied. Regular follow-up checks are carried out throughout the process.
First 24 Hours
Hospital Observation and Comfort
You will remain under observation in hospital for one night after surgery. Mild packing, a splint and swelling are expected findings. Pain is manageable with prescribed medication.
1st Week
Removal of Splint and Packing
Around the 7th day, the splint and (if present) packing are removed. At this stage the nasal shape is still far from its final form; mild swelling and bruising are normal and can usually be concealed with make-up.
Weeks 2 – 3
Return to Social Life
A return to office-paced daily life is largely possible. Visible swelling decreases significantly; heavy sport, sauna and the use of glasses are restricted during this period.
Months 1 – 3
Gradual Activity and Refinement
A gradual return to light sporting activity begins. Swelling in the finer tissues continues to subside and the contours of the nose start to become more defined.
Months 6 – 12
Final Result Becomes Apparent
Tissue swelling fully resolves and the aesthetic result becomes clear. Adherence to follow-up appointments and medical advice during this period is important for a long-lasting and natural outcome.

Specialist in Aesthetic and Plastic Surgery
His medical journey began in 2008 with English-medium medical education at Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine and was shaped by plastic surgery. He completed his specialist training at Haydarpaşa Numune Training and Research Hospital, one of Turkey's long-established plastic surgery clinics, and subsequently served for two years as a plastic surgery specialist at Erzurum City Hospital.
Since 2023 he has been practising at Yılmazer Clinic in Istanbul, guided by innovative technologies and a scientific approach. In rhinoplasty, the priority is a natural appearance, respect for facial proportions and functional continuity; a detailed analysis is carried out for each patient and technical choices are planned individually.
