What is a Breast Lift (Mastopexy)?
Breast lift (mastopexy) is a surgical procedure that aims to reshape the breast tissue when it has descended and lost its fullness following pregnancy, breastfeeding, weight changes, or aging.
Op. Dr. Emre Yılmazer evaluates the degree of ptosis, skin elasticity, and existing volume together for each patient. When needed, the procedure can be planned alongside an implant or fat injection to provide both lifting and added fullness.

How is it Performed?
Breast Lift planning begins with a joint evaluation of the patient's anatomy and expectations. The information below reflects a general framework; the final plan is determined on a personalized basis.

General Anesthesia
Performed in an accredited hospital, accompanied by an anesthesiologist.
Duration
2 – 3 Hours
The degree of ptosis and any accompanying procedures affect the total time.

Periareolar / Vertical / T-Scar
Scar length and technique are determined according to the level of ptosis.

Recovery Process

First 24 Hours
Hospital Observation
Dressings and a sports bra are applied. Mild tension is among the expected findings.
Week 1
Check-up and Care
Dressing changes are performed. The arms should not be raised above shoulder level.
Weeks 2 – 3
Return to Social Life
Office routine is largely resumed. Sports bra use continues.
Week 6
Gradual Return to Sports
Bra wear comes to an end; the transition to light sports activities begins.
Month 6
Final Result Becomes Clear
Tissue swelling subsides; scars mature and the result becomes clear.

He completed his specialty training at Haydarpaşa Numune Training and Research Hospital, one of Turkey's long-established plastic surgery clinics, and subsequently served as a plastic surgery specialist at Erzurum City Hospital for 2 years.
